The San Diego Chargers made a move to bolster their pass rush Saturday, agreeing on a two-year deal with defensive end Dwight Freeney, league sources told ESPN's Ed Werder.
2 year 8.75 million deal

I ask because the Denver Broncos wanted to sign him early in the free agency process, and he told them he was wanting 8-9 million a season. Needless to say, we passed on him and signed Shaun Phillips from the San Diego Chargers.
Honestly, I'd rather the Chargers have Freeney instead of Phillips.

Melvin Ingram suffered a torn ACL in a workout or something so that opened the door for Freeney.
Ingram sure has gotten off to a tough start.
