Christian leatner... Clutch city. But that was THE game that duke started getting favors from the refs. That unless team I Bielefeld came in thinking they were gonna blow them out like they did the year before. Just look at the great game the next year against uk. Duke got away with a ton of non calls in that game.

Crazy that UNLV has only made it as far as the Sweet 16 once in 25 years since that game.

Grant Hill might be the most underrated COLLEGE player of the 90s...in addition to being a forgotten superstar at the NBA level.

3 Title games at Duke. National DPOY, 2x All-American, ACC POY.

*Yes he's my all time favorite player

definitely NOT a SUPERSTAR caliber player in the NBA. Was he ever at any point in his career a top 5 player? Maybe for a year...

I'm assuming you typed that message out, then googled Grant Hill's stats and had to edit that last line in.

Maybe my memory is a little fuzzy but I don't ever remember him being considered a top 5 player. Maybe a Superstar due to the Sprite commericals?? I only see a handful of seasons with a PER over over 20. Only 1 season with a WS/48 over .2. ONE first team all NBA team so I reckon for one year he was a top 5 player. NO playoff series wins in those days. Zero. Sorry for me a superstar is a winner.

I see ONE top 7 finish in the MVP in his career. One? That's not a superstar to me sorry.

Those 96-97 numbers are crazy good. Took a team with Lindsey Hunter as its 2nd best player to 55 wins.

4 years of 10+ WS in Detroit(as 10 WS is largely considered an elite year), one of the two he missed was the lockout year, where he had 7.3 at 50 games. He didn't walk into the league playing with young studs(unless you consider Allan Houston a stud).

Had most of his prime robbed from by a shitty training staff.

He was every bit the player in his prime that Harden is.

I just looked and no his best season wasn't even particularly close to Hardens season last year.
