Perfect trip for Gun Runner. If he was going to win, that was how it would have gone.
Arrogate was just that much better. I wonder why Chrome didn't run again. I guess Arrogate already made that arse quit.

Horse was still in the barn, working for his 1st race in June of 2016.
Cut to today and he is now a winner of 17mil+

For those not familiar with horse racing, Gun Runner was Fair Grounds based and won the 2016 Louisiana Derby.
Arrogate was incredible. He powered through that stretch run in Secretariat Belmont fashion. Bulldozer.

He's the best horse I've seen since Ghostzapper. He had every not go his way and still ran away from Gun Runner, who is a very nice horse.

Chrome began breeding mares the second week of February at the start of breeding season. He couldn't run

imho the 4 best race horses this century world wide have been sea the stars, ghostzapper, frankel and dubai millennium. i don't know if you can put him in the same category as sea the stars or frankel yet but he's defiantly on the same level as ghostzapper and dubai millinium

Arrogate is the dirt best horse since Spectacular Bid.
Gun Runner ran an excellent race, is a very good horse and should have run in the Belmont last summer.

He had a pretty bad quarter crack leading up to and during the derby.
He ran lights out on it to be 3rd. If have to think that lead to not running until the Matt Winn (a little easier)

don't know if i'm mentally ready to put him ABOVE ghostzapper if for any reason nostaglia lol ghostzapper was my first real love in horse racing. But seriously, as good as Arrogate has been he hasn't ran anything that could beat Ghostzapper's woodward against saint liam or his breeders cup. if you put Arrogate in that breders cup i don't think he catches ghostzapper that race had roses in may and pleasantly perfect and azeri in it and he beat them like rented mules
