Here is the vine of the incident:

Wasn't much. Soft punch thrown to Dwight's back.

The NBA rules state that any closed-fist punch, whether it connects or not, is an automatic one game suspension.

This punch was mostly nothing... but does the NBA follow the letter of the law and suspend him? Or does the NBA allow him to play like when they rescinded Westbrook's technical foul at the end of the season?

Heres what I've learned about the NBA this season, who would they rather move on in the Post Season? Houston or Dallas?

Probably Houston, so yes.

Looks to me like Dwight throws a closed fist punch to Chandler's arm first...

Hope not, that would be the easy way out for him. I'd much rather see Dwight dunk on him a few more times before the series is over.

Would be ridiculous to suspend him for that.

It really is a weirdly quiet series.

But yeah, he should be suspended a game. Just because the rules are the rules, even when its somewhat minor.

Yes, series that start 3-0 tend to lose viewers over time.

It depends on which narrative the MSB is pushing today.

From what I see, most posters hate both Houston (especially Dwight) and LeBron for some reason.

So, considering Dwight was the recipient of the punch, I'm guessing most posts will say, "Oh, come on. The NBA is soooooo soft these days. What a bunch of pussies. Pippen would have eaten everyone alive. There are no hard fouls or extracurricular activity after the whistle. Pussies!"

Now, if Dwight had thrown the punch, the posts would say something like, "WHAT A POS! He should have been ejected! SO WHAT if it wasn't that hard?! RULES ARE RULES!!!"

Heck, they suspended Z-Bo for least than that last year, so yeah, he's gotta go. Well, Z-Bo's was to the jaw, but still....
