being canned like that probably means he's not going to get hired anywhere else. does Baylor owe him a buy out or is he just SOL? just wonderin'

Yeah I'd assume he isn't getting paid, at least right now. However, I'd be shocked if he didn't take them to court.

at this point, why not?

briles is possibly done forever so he has little to lose (unless they had criminal stuff on him)

would baylor really want him having discovery power over its university knowing whre the bodies are buried?

He is scum. That's exactly what he'll try to do.

Unless they have actual evidence of him covering up / ignoring the incidents, it will probably end in court. I don't think either side would want to take it all the way to trial though.

Depends on what he knows and who also knew.

He could he hushed with some Booster cash. Or he could bring the whole program to it's knees.

Eventually they will settle after all the "bad" news gets aired out. Don't want Briles sinking the ship with all those skeletons in the closet that no one knows about.

Don't be so sure, Auburn might be in the market soon.

They can try to fire him with cause, but I would bet he wins that lawsuit and keeps his buyout. Most likely they settle. It's going to be hard for Baylor to prove that he violated his employment terms when all of his supervisors from the AD all the way to the president knew about the allegations and did nothing to address the issue.
