I was a kid in the late 90's so I tried to imitate Griffey all the time. Could never get the timing down. My stance for real ended up more like a lefty bagwell

Ditto, and it seemed like everyone who tried to imitate Griffey did a lot more harm than good. His swing, as beautiful as it was, was impossible for an amateur, much less a kid, to imitate.

I loved to imitate David Justice's check swing technique.

Dick Groat
Swung late anyway and exaggerated his stance so I hit to theright side of the field about 80% of the time.

Also, my 9 year old son has Molina's stance down pat. Even signals the ump for time in the same way.

Griffey, Sosa, Tettleton, Alou, Bagwell, Ichiro, Vlad, Sheffield, M Giles, Furcal, A Jones, Ortiz, Manny, McGwire, Bonds, Gallaraga, Burnitz

The neighbors and I used to "draft" players and make lineups and we had to mock the stance of whoever was up in the order. I would switch hit to match the players as well

Also used to do pitchers. Nomo, Kim, Remlinger, Leskanic, Dontrelle Willis, Pedro, Randy Johnson, Kerry Lightenberg were some of my favorites

I did Griffey's a lot but from the right side.

Another random one I liked was Bernard Gilkey's. Can't really explain it and I hate the Cardinals.
