South Carolina doesn't have a pro football team and South Carolina is a state that borders both North Carolina and Georgia. Do most people from South Carolina root for the Panthers or Falcons or are they ambivalent towards both teams?

I believe the root for the Panthers since they have Carolina in their name.

Depends on age. Lots of older folks are hardcore redskins fans because that used to always be the game of the week back in the days of broadcast only tv

Panthers here. Most younger people (35 and younger) root for the Panthers. It's not all Auburn fans despite what this board would have you believe.

Their first season was played at Clemson and the initial plan was to have the 50 yard line on the state line.

Most seem to root for the Panthers. Over near the upstate are, you see some Falcons fans. Down near the bottom, below Charleston getting near Georgia you start to see some Jacksonville fans. Even before the Panthers came along, the Falcons weren't the most popular team in a lot of the state, many people there followed the Redskins then.
