Do any schools in Louisiana have middle school baseball?

The reason I ask is we're in a league with a bunch of unofficial, "independent" school teams. Not affiliated with the schools, but each team has kids from a certain school. I don't know of any school in this area of NELA that has an official team. Just wondering if other areas of the state are different.

No public school in Ouachita Parish has an official baseball team to my knowledge. They have softball teams, but not baseball. Title IX...Some of the Dads had teams a few years ago and they would all play each other at Brady in WM and Saul Adler in Monroe. They weren't officially sanctioned school teams, technically.

I went to public shcool on the Northshore and I remember my Jr High had
Boys: Football, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer
Girls: Softball, Basketball, Soccer
Maybe track for both, too.

St. Charles Parish middle schools have had baseball and softball for the last 20+ years

Lafayette private schools have middle school baseball.

There's a big league in Baton Rouge area. Games are played at revault under the bridge. Not very good baseball but I know Brusly,central,Zachary,east fel,west fel, plaq,and port Allen just to name a few.

I went to school in NELA (Monroe) and played middle school baseball. We practiced at our school but we played games at rec leagues (fields meant for our age limit). We only played other schools in the area. Maybe they weren't "school sanctioned" teams for their schools? All the players were from their school though and as was ours.

They're not sanctioned. I've had this discussion with administrators. It's a Title IX issue supposedly. So schools here have football, softball, G/B basketball, G/B Track, G/B Soccer. Most have softball fields, but obviously not baseball fields.

D'Arbonne Woods Charter has a middle school team. Most all of the private schools have from Peewee on up.

Drove by there Friday. Looked like they were operating out of the old Walmart in Farmerville.
Anyway, I speak only of publics in Ouachita Parish. Privates can do whatever they want apparently.
