Jordan had 5 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 assists against the Celtics championship team from '86 all while scoring 63 points!!!!!!! On the road...

LeBron had a good game, let's just call it a night. His "injuries" were played up by him and the media, he is one of the most self aware athletes ever, and the Hawks were all but broken. He tries to force his own Jordan esque moments instead of just playing and letting the chips fall where they may.

Also just for the LeBron fanboys, Bron is going to his 6th NBA Finals and has the opportunity to win his third ring. When Jordan reached that same Milestone he was going for ring no 6. Jordan would never lose 3 times in the NBA Finals.

I mean Jordan is the GOAT, but why do people need to make to make statements like this? Lebron has lost to some really legit teams in the finals; there is no real way to know how those series play out if Jordan was on those teams instead of Lebron.

People have the mistaken belief that past results are guaranteed. Jordan had a great record in the finals, but that doesn't mean he may not have lost more in a different setting.

so it's better to not make the finals than to lose in the finals?

LBJ will have made 10+ finals by the time he hangs it up. It ruffles the feathers of some of the old timers, but James is a better player than Jordan.

I get the whole "MJ was undefeated in the finals argument" but people act like LeBron going to the finals and losing is a huge stain on his legacy.

Going to 10 finals and winning 6 >>>> going to 6 finals and winning 6 and losing in the 1st or 2nd round 4 times.

Sort of. Great players elevate their teams to win titles. Lebron hasn't don't that often.

If he losses this year he will be 2-4 in the Finals. That's not good

And no LBJ's statline was good but he took 40 shots last night. He would fully admit that's not a good shooting night for him

In 2 of those 3 losses he ran into the better team, and GS will be another team that is considered better.

Easy to say this when LBJ loses. The Bulls were considered better cause they won. The only series they weren't equal or the favorite was 07

Pretty sure the bulls lost that game vs the Celtics in which Jordan scored 63.

But Jordan was unbelievable that game. He had zero help.

Defensively, his numbers were really impressive. Offensively, he was meh... the only reason he had 37 points is because he had 37 attempts.

Tim Duncan NBA finals close out game in 2003 was pretty good. 21pts, 20reb, 10asts and 8 blocks. 2 blocks away from quadruple double. Not bad.
