Those quotes are pretty tacky considering how much some of his teammates have grinded without him the past several seasons.

I think it's great he's planning ahead. Maybe he'll become a better and more efficient player... especially if he wants to be paid like a franchise player again.
With that said, I was already ready to move on from from Derrick. I think with more efficient play at PG, we'd become that much better of a basketball team. I really wanted to the Bulls to get their hands on Tyus Jones as our plan B.
I hope Derrick has a great year.

Wes Matthews just tore his Achilles and got a massive deal. Everyone will have cap space. Obviously things can change if he tears up his knee again but he's in line for a huge contract.
