David Ortiz now has more HRs than any other player in their final year.

Hit #36 tonight against the Os in a 5-2 win. Red Sox now up 4.5.
Greatest DH of all time. HOF lock. Wish his feet didn't bother him so much. Guy could probably hit till he's 45. What a ball player.
Dave Kingman hit 35 in his last year for the As in 1986

Baseball writers fricking suck. Even taking the most hardcore stance on steroids, it's a shame that a guy like Bonds isn't in the hall. You can dock players for steroids and still think certain players did enough to get in.

Which is why it will be total bullshite if Ortiz gets in while Bonds and Clemens and McGwire and others get left out to dry
Everyone fricking knows Ortiz juiced. It's not a mystery. So why does he get treated different.

His alleged steroid use will be overlooked because just about everyone loves him.

He also wasn't the centerpiece of a court case involving the MLB like Bonds was. People have a much more negative perception of Bonds because he outright denied in court that he used steroids (if I remember correctly).

His name was leaked as a positive test during the "anonymous" testing. Somebody matched up the sample numbers with a master list and his name was one of the positives. Something like that.

Serious question...Didn't bonds never officially test positive for anything? Everyone just assumes he did (because, well he did).

I've never understood why David Ortiz doesn't get the same treatment as other players that have been "linked" to steroids. Here he is in his final year, having the best year of his career? Doesn't add up
