With yesterday's win the good guys now are only 5 games shy of matching the 2013 win total for the Month of August.

Astros August 2013 record: 8-21
Astros August 2014 record: 3-0

Ok I'm going to throw this out there...

Somebody said the other day that the Astros have been playing near .500 ball for 3 months now.

We're 112 games into the season. 50 left.

If we can go 25-25 in the last 50, that will give us a 72-90 record for the season.

Who wouldn't have taken that before the season began?

Springer is going to quad cities for at least a game today. would think its likely 2 games for rehab. rumor that Fowler is getting close as well.

8/2 - RHP Juan Hernandez assigned from the DSL to the GCL
8/1 - OF Nestor Tejada assigned from the DSL to the GCL
8/1 - 2B Frankeny Fernandez assigned from the DSL to the GCL

[UPDATE] Also, a reliable source is telling me that LHP Luis Cruz is on his way from Corpus Christi to Oklahoma City. That is still unconfirmed at this point, though.

[SECOND UPDATE] Another source is telling me that OF Teoscar Hernandez and LHP Josh Hader are headed from Lancaster to Corpus Christi, and that OF Brett Phillips is going from Quad Cities to Lancaster. This is unconfirmed at this time. I'm also hearing that RHP Troy Scribner is being promoted from Tri-City but have no further information on that; I would assume that he would go to Quad Cities.
Above is from What the Heck Bobby

I'm already in prayer. would be nice if he gets sorted out and Hader moves up. if both those guys are ready end of next year or early 2016 it would be a plus.

Most of the time the other teams players do play along with him. He was racing one of the White Sox earlier this year.

Me and a friend, also a poster here, Lion8, went to Saturday and Sunday's games. We had an awesome time, and damn it was awesome to see the astros dominate like that.

Singleton can absolutely stroke. If he ever gets his average up, he is going to be dangerous. When he puts the bat on the ball, he always gives it a ride.

I'm pretty excited for Hader, 20 yr old lefty dominating in a launching pad ball park. Been reading about him and many say he has a deceptive delivery much like Chris Sale.

After a horrible July, its been a nice start to August. Hoping to finish the season strong. And glad to hear we have lots of prospects developing very nicely on all levels. Curious to see how they slot everywhere and exactly what roles each guys takes on. Was reading earlier how Castro was saying Foltys stuff would make him a great setup guy or closer if that is what the organization wants. Him throwing straight BB's past Bautista was impressive to see.

I think that ultimately will be his role. Nice to have some gas in the pen.

So I'm watching jeopardy just now and the question was about some mechanical thing and the second half of the question said "The Astros could have used this

The answer was "a blowout preventer"

Haha You just saw that episode? I remember when it aired I had a decent laugh because it was one of the past 2 seasons when that episode was filmed. And we were that horrible then.
