I hope not. And hopefully MLB doesn't pull the bullshite from 05 where they make them open it after St Louis complained

You guys think the roof will be open for Sunday's game? I'm guessing not
I'm hearing that Manfred will be calling Selig to see what he prefers.

Been and Astros fan for a long time; unfortunately haven't kept up with them recently. What's the thing with the "Los Astros"....?

I was already triggered by "cow pasture". It hit me deep.

As if this day wasn't good enough already.

To defend Ryno, there are a lot of people who tend to view the issue this way, not saying that they are right.
I'm not going to knock on anyone for being cynical at this point, it's tough seeing your team be the laughing stock of the league for a historic length of time, particularly one that we all watched reach the World Series less than a decade ago.
Personally I agree with you and I completely support the way the organization is building the foundation for the future. Other fans can get mad that we aren'ttthrowing money at players to finish in the middle of the road, but I a lot of that angst comes because everyone can see how we are playing the system for maximum returns on the future, much like the Rays did and Nationals did. We will be back in the playoff race much sooner than later.

I used to lurk those threads regularly. Still do to an extent but I participate from time to time. I forgot how much Prom and Ryno bitched at each other

Well the organization finally took some of my advice and look where we are now. This off season is crucial to get the franchise to the top of the hill like the Giants and Cards.

Those were trying times...

And yeah I agree. This was always the offseason that we expected them to start spending money and going after big name FA's anyway. Making the playoffs sure won't hurt our cause attracting those high dollar names. Don't discount how valuable this experience is for the young players either. They're only going to get better

I imagine winning the World Series is a pretty valuable experience for all of our players, regardless of age.

We have a few guys up now who can stick and be good: Castro, dominguez, Cosart, Obie, Villar, Grossman, all fun to watch. Altuve is a good stop gap player. With the wave of studs coming up in the next two years we will be built for long term winning at the ML level starting in 2016

We all had bouts of dumbass-itis. You were not immune ryno.
