I'm going to be paying attention to pitch selection. If he's just throwing curve after curve, I think we're going to have a problem.

So there are reports that lance himself didn't know he was starting till after the game and then got up to throw after the game last night to work on stuff....

Kinda funny that LMJ is getting the start over GoatCock since Smoltz all but penciled GoatCock into the lineup for today during the broadcast last night. Buck was giving him shite about it...it was actually a funny exchange. But I think we all figured the same thing...

Smoltz is pretty good , IMO. I enjoy his insights. I thought he was right on the money when he was talking about how the Astros had used a "team" approach to getting Judge out during the series and that all of the pitchers were pretty much doing the same thing and pitching to Judge's weaknesses, which were up and away and down and away. That is why it pissed me off even more when Harris went off the reservation and threw Judge the letter-high fastball when Gattis kept calling for the curve.

I don't think that there are any MSB bylaws prohibiting you guys from starting a Yankees thread. I have no desire to troll or shite on your team, which seems to be the only reason most of you are in here.

Yeah Todd Frazier's HR last night was the luckiest flukiest HR I've ever seen in my life. I thought that was gonna be an easy out to RF. Morton was unlucky there.

Shoulda seen him last night...

High C, I actually do appreciate the DAT threads. I've lurked for a while bc I love LSU baseball and wanted to track Bregman's progress in the league.

shite talking is fun but the new Yankees fans that popped up on here all of a sudden are invariably pretty bad. Even if they have a connection to NY, you can tell they are the type that don't really watch games or pay attention to the season. A lot of them are SEC rantards as well.

The Yankee "fans" that have been showing up is the absolute reason why the Yankees are universally the most despised organization in MLB.

It's too bad, too... because the new crop of athletes the Yankees have seem to be genuinely good guys. Too bad the "fans" haven't evolved.

TBH I've been more turned off by the salty Astros fans.

You guys are in the driver's seat for this series yet cannot take the simple fact that your team had a tough night. This is the nature of playoff baseball,Get over it!

The Yankees lost a game to Cleveland in extras after blowing 10 chances to score 1 run. shite happens.

Quit lashing out at people

Morton didn't even look bad. Baseball gods were not kind to us last night.

This is why I'm not worried about last night.
When Frazier hit that one handed line drive home run, we all knew it wasn't our night lol

It's mostly because we've had our own thread all year to discuss things and now that it's the ALCS a lot more people care and want to post and troll in it. It's not that big of a deal but I prob won't be looking much at this thread during games while the playoffs are going on

The DAT lashes out at its own people when Giles blows a save in July.

You better believe there will be some shite thrown indiscriminately in the ALCS.
