The roof is open but the book on the 2016 Astros is closed. Need to get working on my offseason thread post.

Our old friend Jon Villar hit 2 homers last night. He's up to 18 homers along with 59 steals. If he gets to 20HR and 60SB, he'll join Joe Morgan, Rickey Henderson and Eric Davis as the only ones to accomplish that. 
Like JD Martinez, He didn't exactly have a place to play in Houston. But again like JD, he's making Luhnow look bad. At least we got something for him in this case instead of letting him walk.

Hindsight here is certainly 20/20 but the guy is a very good athlete with a good arm. Could have been stuck in the outfield. Sure, he messed up when he first played there but could have adapted with some time in the minors.

Seeing as we rolled with Carlos Gomez this year, we probably could have otherwise tolerated Villar.
ETA: Predictably, Villar leads the world in error this season with 29.

I predicted before he arrived that Yogi was going to ground into a frick ton of double plays. So far I haven't been wrong. His 4 double play game on Sunday was a treat.
