My first crack at the DAT.

Maybe a new starter will get us out of this quick two game slide.

Not for long baw

You had your chance at the series with 1st and 3rd 0 outs in top of 9.

Rangers are on a roll and Martinez is good enough to beat the stros,

Kasmir??? Lulz

I think we should be nice to Ranger fans. After all, they were the ones to convince an aging pitcher to agree to go there, allowing us to get our dynamic CF.

Straily DFA, recalled Wojo. I'm assuming as a long relief guy...

I'm fine with him being our long man, If he has to make a start I would be a bit concerned.

Have faith. Wojo will help guide our Astros to the promise land (AKA the World Series)

In Kazmir I trust!!! Btw I'm glad if we brought Wojo up as a long relief. We need a capable long man for those moments like we had on Monday.

Could we have optioned Straily back to Fresno? I know if you are optioned to the minors you have to stay down for 10 days, but if you're called up I don't think you have to stay a certain amount of time. What are we clearing a 40 man spot for?

Anyone see Hamels' rationale on not wanting to come win some championships on the back half of his career?

quote:

It just kind of came to that sort of fruition where (the Astros) just weren't on the (approved) list. They asked me, and I said, 'No I'd like to stick with the list...' I've seen what (the Astros) have done and I think they've done great things. I have a four-year contract still...so if it was a different situation where I had a year left or a year and a half I probably would have gone. But because it is more of a longer term I had to weigh those sorts of variables for those nine teams that I had on the list. I didn't want to budge from that.
