Also I was impressed with Rich Hill last night and think he's a decent option for us as a deadline arm. Prefer Pomeranz but Hill would be cheaper

Hopefully we aren't done at SP if we get him. He could provide some depth while also giving a lefty in the pen but he's not who we need for the rotation

This group went to the playoffs last year, should make a run for the playoffs this year, and should be gearing up to have these key guys stay until they win the World Series.

Sure. And I've advocated for giving altuve a long term extension. But as far as keeping Altuve, Springer and Correa together...a $200+ million contract makes it unlikely to happen. Springer is the odd man out.

It won't happen. I don't see any way they keep all three. Springer will sadly be the guy they don't sign. I don't think he even wants to be here long term.

should bring an absolutely astound haul when he's traded at the 2018 deadline.
He'll have 2 WS rings by the time he hits FA. He'll be looking for HUGE $$$$. And he'll deserve every penny (as much as MLB players bloated contracts go).

Can't happen. Not for the Astros. We're not gonna keep 3 guys on what would likely be contracts of at least $150MM. Based on the paces he had set in his first 2 seasons prior to injury and what he's doing now, combined his defense George is also going to get a hearty contract at some point. So yeah there's no way we can keep them all. Hopefully we can win a title while they're all still here and playing at high levels.
