Hope Moran's injury doesn't have any long term effects.

Also hope Lance finds his stuff again.

I know Springer has hit leadoff for a while, but what are the chances when Correa comes back and they are full strength that Altuve takes the leadoff spot?

Springer has hit for so much power, and Altuve has a higher OBP and is faster and a better base runner.

Seems to make more sense.

0%. In a vacuum yes it would make sense to switch them, but Springer leading off just seems to make things work.

On paper it makes sense but Springer seems extremely comfortable hitting lead off, and I'm pretty sure he's come out and said he loves hitting leadoff. It's not worth it to move him around with the breakout year he's having IMO

The bottom of the lineup is good enough too where he still gets RBI chances

Tyler White will mostly be used as a RH bat off the bench against LH pitchers.

So I guess Marwin will be starting everyday at 3rd or SS. Which means more Jake and Aoki starting in the OF.

Pulled up White's Fresno splits this year. He hits better against right handers. Naturally.

@jakemkaplan
Regarding Colin Moran, Jeff Luhnow said there are "two areas that had a displacement or a fracture."

Of potential surgery for Moran, Luhnow said: "It's most likely heading in that direction."

Really sad. He was looking like a player this year. I think he could have had an impact this season. Damn. Well he wont be trade bait anymore and should be with the team for next season.

Man that's so unfortunate. Hopefully he can come back playing at the level he had ascended to this year

Why do people keep suggesting that we move Springer from leadoff? Have y'all not been watching the Stros before this year?

I understand fans of other teams like BayouBengal asking because conventional wisdom says it's the "right" thing to do. Really sick of when Astro fans think they should flip though.

Moran was really breaking out. Finally hitting for power and average. Sucks to see that happen to him and hopefully it doesn't affect him mentally

Can you imagine watching the Astros like this NBC coverage of The Open?

"That'll bring George Springer to plate with the bases loaded!

And we're playing through this commercial!"

Yes, likely zygomatic and infra-orbital.

Vision is sometimes a complication.

Absolutely sucks for him and the team on the heels of Correa.
