that's about the end of Springers season.

Meh.. Marlon Byrd was only out 17 days after being hit in the wrist last month. Depends on what is broken although it may sap his power either way.

frick nvm just saw the 6 weeks tweet. frick

I am legitimately depressed now. frick you Royals. I'm afraid this injury will take a long time to heal and even when he comes back I'm afraid he won't be the same for a good while. Wrist injuries can take a long time for hitters to find their power again.

I still like Thickie Don's idea.

Trade for volquez and destroy him in a 24 on 1 arse beating

Augst 12-13 is the 6 week mark. . my guess is he would still need a couple of weeks to strengthen at that point and best case is he would be ready in the playoffs

Yeah, the area where the ball hit makes me think this is a straightforward kind of deal. George will be back for the stretch run.

I'm going on record now…I have been very impressed with AJ Hinch so far this season, but if we don't deck one of KC's best players in the first inning of the first game when we play them next then he is a gutless pussy.

Spike them on the base paths. Force them to fight.

Will be interesting to see the lineup.

Tuve goes back to lead-off, when he's heating up.

CC gets a "bump" down... who's jumping in the 2 hole?

Ok everybody. Get it out your systems now.

The organization is deep. The roster is talented. The team will rally around each other, or they weren't a championship club to begin with.

doesn't even matter at this point. you can't replace what he Springer does at the plate, in the field and his leadership/electricity in the dugout. WHY??????

Short term, I think Correa bats #2. When Jed is back, he can bat there in front of Correa.

Or perhaps Rasmus can bat between Altuve and Correa. Maybe even Pressley.

Not Gattis, Carter, Luis, Singleton, Catcher, Jake or Santana.

12 more weeks of the regular season (ends october 4). Even using a conservative estimate of 8 weeks and he's back for the final 4. Hopefully we can tread water.

As someone mentioned again today, the Kazmir/Reddick combo deal makes a bit more sense now.
