He was only placed on the 10-Day DL. Inflammation of the shoulder. Should be back for Orioles series!

Speaking of which, I'm taking an 8-day East Coast trip to see the Stros play in Baltimore and Philadelphia.

Check your TV's. I'll be the baw decked out in Houston apparel!

Anyone else listen to this podcast interview with Lunhow from last week? About an hr long. Interviewer is kind of a chode but some good discussion about how Lunhow got to where he is and how he got the Stros to where they are.

LINK

Nothing too groundbreaking revealed other than maybe Lunhow saying he thinks this is a late window type of year ala Price a couple years ago. But still a good listen nonetheless.

The Astros, Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers and Blue Jays all had scouts on hand as Athletics starter Sonny Gray pitched six shutout innings against Cleveland Friday

Not really news but it's something.

Surprised no mention of Milwaukee, Chicago, or Atlanta

Also hadn't seen much about LA or Boston looking to add a starter

Not sure if Yanks losing Pineda makes them more likely to be aggressive in seeking a starter or standing pat and keeping all their young assets to make a run next year

Yes, actually. His last start with Oakland may just be at Toronto.

Dodgers are said to be looking to add a controllable righty to pair with all their lefty starters.

Boston may be thinking similarly (Sale, Price, Pomeranz).

One positive about the Quintana trade is that it sets market value at 2 top quality prospects for a starter. If Gray can be had for Fisher & Martes or Perez, or something along those lines, we can avoid trading next tier guys like Moran and instead include less meaningful tertiary pieces. Of course if Doolittle were to be part of the trade that likely would change.

Lumhow is going to wait too long and be stuck with a desperate gomez fires move like he did in 15.

Should probably go ahead and fire Ludlow before he wrecks this season for us. Keuchel, Altuve and Springer weren't his doing anyway. Dude just got lucky. Bring back Ed Wade to finish what he started.

The Astros called up lefthanded reliever Reymin Guduan from Triple A.

To my recollection he's been better than Diaz or Jankowski.
