After what felt like a month off, we're finally back baws

Hopefully Chuck Morton follows up his first start back with one just as good or better

Let's start off the second half with a win, let's do this baws

Just delete your thread title, Gunslinger. It's the right thing to do.

Some of our other resident DATers broke the news in the trade thread but Ill bring it here as it is stros relevant. Pineda likely needs Tommy John. Its stros relevant as (assuming Cashman is smart which he is) it will take the major player of the Yankees off the trade market. With the Cubs acquiring Quintana that really leaves us from rumored teams looking for controlable TOR starters. Others such as Twins and Brewers were looking more into rentals per rumors as they thought they are still a year or two away.

Yes, we had so confusion in the DAT community this morning, but everything should all be good now

Why would that take them off the market?

They will have too many rotation holes to fill to make a run this season. Much more likely to sell off other assets and continue to acquire talent

Because that weakens them further, and they are really only competing for the Wild Card. Boston is winning the East.

Why sacrifice part of what has been a speedy rebuild so far to get a Wild Card spot?

I guess it's the people who want the Yankees to be stupid and buy anyway.

It's not like Brian Cashman will be swayed by DAT advice on his team.

The free reign you guys gave Hot Take Ryno for the past two weeks has been embarrassing and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. Am I the only one that has to keep that guy in line?

What a ridiculous run in Toronto they had, no? But what worries me about these guys is that they can disappear after scoring 6-7 runs a game. In the playoffs, that's a big issue. At the same time, I think once they get to ANY teams bullpens, they'll destroy them.

Whomever Houston plays in the playoffs, better hope they come in with a bullpen worth more than their 2 starters.

Got banned for saying "good riddance." Two words

I'm in 100% aggreance with you fwiw. Whatever it takes to get Sonny Gray and a reliever. Justin Wilson or Hand.

We tend to ignore "hot takes" that are only meant to get our attention, aka Ryno most of the time.

Welcome back, baw.

I don't think I'd go so far as to say "whatever it takes" for Sonny Gray.
