Oh well. Great work by Velasquez tonight. Maybe tonight signals that he is ready to settle into the bigs. That means no need to trade for a starter.

That's fine though. Kid needs to figure out how to pitch. He missed tons of time in the minors due to injuries. He's playing catchup in a pennant race.

Yeah I'm okay with not trading for a starter, but I think we'll need the extra bullpen arm. If Singleton looks like he has figured it out, is this it for Carter?
