Let's get this W and get out of Oakland with another sweep

At this point I'd rather trade for a relief pitcher/closer type than a TOR guy. Gray and Quintana have sunk up the joint and someone like Archer or Cole would start with Bregman + prospect.

What do you guys think about Iglesias from the Reds?

As good as the main guys have been. Fiers and Peacock have really kept this team's rotation together.

Yea, the rotation actually seems fine, and if we move these guys who have been making effective spot starts into the pen, that could be ok too. I, like all of you, want the Astros to win a World Series. I don't want them selling the future to win now however, especially since they may be able to win now without selling the future.

If we had a 20% chance to win a WS for each of the next 10 years, I would take that over a 35% chance to win this year and next year, and then a 5% chance the other 8 after going all in.

Given his terrible stretch no Cole wouldn't.

Also we refused to include bregman to get sale there is no way we would make that deal if that's what they were asking for. Luhnow has kept the coffers stocked for times like this. Our time is now. The Astros era has begun.

Moran

If the Astros can get anything to help this year in return for him, they need to pull the trigger.

Bregman adds too much versatility to the infield.

Guys like that could factor into helping us land a good reliever.

The bright side of making a trade is that Houston will be buying from a position of strength. Provided our top two guys are healthy, of course.

I want a legit hitter to protect correa but that's a pipe dream. Definitely need a top of rotation starter and plus lefty in the pen. At minimum.

I wouldn't count a trade for Wilson and Martinez together with Detroit out of the question. But we know that one of Tucker or Fisher is going to be around to be a starter next season, so the bat would almost have to be a rental.

Jandel Gustave's season came to a premature end with Tommy John Surgery (UCL reconstruction procedure). He will probably begin rehab around when Spring Training starts, and could miss most of 2018 too.

Lance McCullers is still set to return from the DL on Saturday. Jake Kaplan on Twitter Source

Dallas Keuchel played catch on Monday. He's still a few weeks away from returning. I wouldn't expect him back until after the All Star Break. *Houston Chronicle Source

Collin McHugh threw batting practice on Tuesday, and apparently it went well. He is now on pace to face live hitters in a simulated game environment by the end of the week. After that would be a minor league rehab assignment. He won't return until after the All Star Break. Brian McTaggart Source

Charlie Morton resumed throwing last week and is set to start a minor league rehab assignment today. It should be a 2-3 inning opportunity for Morton. He could return right before the All Star break to take advantage of the long break. Jake Kaplan on Twitter Source

Derek Fisher is clearly better than Nori Aoki.

Why can't we send Aoki down to AAA?

Did this station flip formats?

According to the website, WUBR 910AM is an affiliate of the Astros Radio Network. Are they still airing the Astros or nah?

(Baton Rouge's WUBR 910AM represents the second-eastern most orange bubble)

The A's DFA'd Stephen Vogt. Somewhat surprising.
