Looking at Giles' numbers before the trade in the offseason the first thing that jumped out to any sane person is how little a track record he had. Trading what we did to get him made very little sense at the time. It makes even less now.

Still fine with giles. Hinch made a dumb arse decision going with him in that situation. He doeant have the nut sack to be our closer yet. But I think he will be just fine.

I mean the pitch that Duval hit out wasn't exactly a terrible one. Slider low and away and he was able to hit it out the other way

Giving up what we did for a reliever is just never a good deal IMO. We should have just signed someone like Clippard or Ryan Madson.

The Correa hate has got to stop, he's 21 and has a .775 OPS. Slight sophomore slump but it happens. So many other members of this team are more worthy of bashing.

Yeah he's been inconsistent this year but the expectations for him are pretty insane. Having legitimate hitters protecting him will help a lot also. People need to look at Harper and Machado's stats when they were 21
