Lance goes home to Tampa to pitch. Cue the feel-good stories.

Also, Round 3-10 in the MLB Draft today starting at noon.

Arlington series went about like we expected, hopefully they can scratch out 3 of the next 5 to salvage the trip.

Any word on Correa's ankle?

Think we'll try to run on Hank Conger this weekend?

I hope Gattis steals a base on Conger.

I expected ole Hank to hit over .600 with 4 HRs and throw out 6 of 7 runners and pick off Springer twice with snap throws to first.

That's the way our season has played out so far.

Yeah that's probably how it will go down.

AJ Reed is heating up in Fresno, and Jake Kaplan wrote an article the other day about how he could be up soon. Martes is starting to figure things out in Corpus, so that's good too.

Reed hit left-handed pitching well last night. Of course, it looked like Fresno hit well last night period.

I believe Bregman is more ready for MLB now than Reed as a hitter because the former is more naturally gifted. I wish he were up now.

Probably so. Outside of playing against us though I hope the best for Hank, he seems like an awesome guy. I used to see him out in Midtown in Houston all the time and he would always be talking and joking around with random fans

These next 7 rounds are about to be real boring for us. Probably going to be mostly seniors with 1-2 juniors

Not sure why, but I have a good feeling for this series. Think we take at least 2.

Jake rogers, tulanes catcher. 40 hit tool and 65 defense tool on a 20-80 scale. Not exactly what everyone wanted in a catcher lol

Done. Jake Rogers from Tulane was the best guy left on the board. Guy is an awesome defensive catcher but will he hit? Has some pop though.

If you don't get one of the top catchers early, you're pretty much grasping at straws. Stubbs and Hermelyn last year are examples of that. Maybe we get lucky but a 40 hit tool isn't particularly promising.

He hit .260 with 7 hr this year and that's by far his best season. His absolute highest ceiling is basically Castro

After his sophomore season, Rogers made the trip to the premier collegiate summer league, the Cape Cod League. In the Cape, he caught 15 of 21 potential base stealers (71.4%). Perhaps more importantly, Rogers saw his offensive numbers rise as well. The catcher hit .274 with three home runs and 11 RBIs. He was the offensive leader among Cape Cod catchers in batting average, home runs, RBIs, slugging percentage, and OPS.

Houston's 4th round selection is Brett Adcock, LHP U of Michigan

quote:

Throws: L
Class: JR
DOB: 08/28/95
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 225

Adcock can touch 94 mph on the radar gun, and he gets good rotation on his curveball, although he doesn't always locate well and can be inconsistent. The left-hander started 14 games for Michigan this year and had a 3.22 ERA, plus 100 strikeouts in 78 1/3 innings
.
