Not sure yet, I'll be back at least for a bit in May but not sure for how long.

One good streak is all it takes, and we're right back in this thing. More than two hits would be nice, too.

Yep. If we can pull off like a 7-3 homestand, I think that puts us right back.

Will have to win several serious head to head vs. Rangers. Hunch has not shown he's capable of doing it yet.

We have yet to win a game by a comfortable margin. I would really enjoy a night of being able to sit back in the 5th or 6th inning and not have to worry about the outcome

Last year you could usually tell by the 3rd inning if we were gonna score 6+ runs or get shutout while getting 3 hits. This year we seem to score 1 or 2 early then our offense adds an extra chromosome after each inning til we're full retard by the end of the game

I was in the middle east the entire month of April. Yesterday was the first regular season game I got to watch.

That win was on me.

Wrong. We beat KC 8-2 in the home opener and lead that game 8-0

With Keuchel on the mound at home against an equally bad team, I like our chances of winning 2 in a row. We celebration rioting if we have a winning streak??

Hunch might save his job for now with a couple wins.

Nothing is quite like counting consecutive misery-free innings in May.

I gotta say... no one does you like you do you.

The team's shitty play has nothing to do with Hunch's decisions. He's playing the players he was given. On paper, before the season started, everyone thought the team was going to walk into the playoffs.

As it is, everyone is performing like it's 2013 and the product on the field is going to be hairy asscheeks - no matter who is running the show. The players have to step up. Hinch is putting them into position to perform, and for whatever reason, they are not doing what is necessary in the field.

My biggest gripes are Gomez and Castro. I was blasted on here when the Astros made the Gomez trade because I felt he didn't fit with the locker room. I still feel that way.

Castro is simply a dingle-berry clinging to that hairy arse I referenced earlier. Man I can't stand that crybaby MFer.

Everyone forgets the incredible April the Astros had last season was due in large part to non-stop late inning HRs hit by a different person almost every night. I didn't expect the same April as last year... but I certainly didn't expect a 2014 April either.

Now, if I were going to make an issue with Managerial decisions... it would be the Hitting coach and his staff. Whoever is putting together scouting reports, pitching reports, and putting them in front of the players is absolutely doing a shitty job. And for all that is Holy -- can they please bring back Jose Cruz? The base running has gone from the absolute shitshow to something that closely resembles the mess left by my dog when he jumped on top of the stove one night and ate a pot full of grease I had left there from cooking fish. Needless to say, it was not pretty and smelled worse.
