He needs time to get ramped back up, I think our rotation can hold it down while he gets extra ST work + rehab starts

Giving up a ton of hits....he's in mid-season form.

Nah, he's giving up too many runs to be in mid season form. When he gives up 2 hits to start an inning and escaped unharmed, that's when he's ready.

ETA: Last bullpen spot, Hoyt or Gustave, who do you want? I'll take Jandel

Its a Gustave vs Hoyt battle since Brad Peacocked his way onto the club. My guess is Hoyt gets the spot out of camp since he's been effective against lefties and Tony Sipp is useless.

That would be my guess as well.

Hey Preston Tucker is still alive!

ETA: I wouldn't be surprised if a bad club targets him in a trade this year. He's blocked in Houston. He pretty much needs to be limited to DH. IMO he could hit 20 or so homers if a rebuilding team wanted to give him a long look at DH.

Damn, middle of the Mariners order with Seager, Cano, Cruz and Astro killer Danny Valencia is gonna be tough on our pitchers

frick that guy! He went absolutely nuts against us last year

.351/.405/.779 6 doubles 9HR 25RBI

25 of his 103 RBI came against us!

It was even worse at MMP.

.476/.532/1.119 6 doubles 7HR 14RBI in 10 games.

White Sox need young outfielders. If they end up getting one Tucker for Quintana, why not give them both? Besides, it looks like the left-handed hitting OF we really need to keep is Fisher.

I hear Fisher also loves the Ranger colored ad spaces in the outfield.

Tony Sipp continues to be useless. K'd a lefty, full count double, full count walk to a lefty

I was hoping last year was behind him. Nope.

We need at least one lefty worth a crap in the pen. Sipp needs to work out his problems in AAA. If that means we lose him, so be it.

I think Hoyt has to be the guy, but I like Gustave's arm more than Hoyt's.

Mariners are going to be tough on everyone.

Sipp will be tough on Astros fans.

ETA: damn autocorrect.

Meanwhile, Peacock continues to look useful. I like him as the long man in the pen over Fiers when McHugh comes back. I think Fiers gets traded.
