I love and hate Gomez. When he's good he's great but when he's bad, he's really bad. I can't stand his approach at the plate.

I just think we can do better than Gomez. But if he's back next season I won't necessarily hate it, just think he may be a good piece for a big time trade if the return is worth it.

Poor Will. Let's not scapegoat him. If we aren't going to do it to Carlito for the botched DP, we should not do it to Harris for death by singles. Without either of them, there is no postseason.

I hope AJ Preller sits on an open box of thumb tacks tonight. Sorry piece of shite that can't accept his off season bonanza was a complete turd.

Biggest failure of the season was making Ollie Perez our only bullpen addition. There's not one guy in our pen that you can count on to get a shut down inning. It made a difference. That was the difference in this series.

6th inning of game 2
8th inning of game 4
5th inning of game 5

all multi run innings for the Royals that did us in. The hole was especially glaring in game 4.

He's our Chris Carter of the bullpen. Luhnow won't let him go.

Gomez, unfortunately, probably isn't going anywhere.

We more than overachieved, but damn it hurts now that it's over. We were 6 outs away and MMP was rocking. I thought we were going to see them celebrate an ALDS series win in Houston. Not this year.

Proud of this team. Very young and resilient. The future is bright.

dude they need some veteran leadership, clearly.

Nope. In fact, they will probably sign no one.

The future is now though and there are so many things to be positive about going forward. For the first time in a long long time I can't wait for Astros baseball to be back already.

As much as my butt hurts right now I am very excited for the future of this team.

The off season is going to be interesting

They aren't stopping the youth movement or spending a ton of money this offseason. A big ticket OF and bullpen help will be a big expense as it is. Luhnow has #TheProcess.

Agreed on Carter, Perez and Qualls.

I know it's hard because several of these guys had a shitty series, but look at the whole season:

Harris pitched way above his head this year
Lowrie was well on his way to a really good season before his injury
Gattis is still under club control and led the team in RBI and triples
Castro has one more year to get his shite together
I'm willing to give Neshek another shot. All of our dependable bullpen guys got way overused this season.

And I'm convinced Fields can be a good long relief guy. But we've got to quit putting him in late in tight games

never said they are stopping the youth movement. but the staff isn't good enough as is. of course im not much of a mchugh fan. we all saw how the league caught onto him from 14' to this year. Im curious to see how he adjusts in 2016.

Agree on C, like having Gomez where he is.

overall need better team contact. Guys that can get on base to best give the mashers opportunities to hit them in.

Our best prospects are going to help dramatically.

Priorities in offseason are C (would hang onto Castro though), one great setup man, and an elite closer.

market for relievers is largely shite. Gonna have to make a trade.
