Chris Hansen and the TCAP All-Stars Are Here to Stay

Hey Rabbi Kaye, will the Astros ten-run rule another opponent?

"You've gotta stop this!"

"I knew the Astros were going to win by 10 again, I just wanted to test it."

Matthew, you've seen the Astros outscore their opponents 49-9 since El Campo Tiger took over the DAT, why do you keep coming back?

"This...is...my darkside."

I still have no idea how the networks are going to figure out which of these 4 series coming up (assuming the AL east WC team wins the WC game against the Twins), is going to be stuck in the 1pm slot. Huge markets everywhere

Would think the Astros/Sox would be prime along with Cubs/Nats

Edit: Guess Dodgers game 1/2 makes sense to be a later game

MLB execs have to be jerking it raw thinking about the markets involved in the playoffs.

The Yankees will play in primetime. The end.

It is the law.

Speaking of the Yankees, the way that the media is pumping Judge the last week or so, they're going to end up giving him the MVP over Altuve. Screw consistency, huh. The Yankee thing is akin to the "Bama Bump" that a recruit gets after committing to Alabama football.

yeah... they'll definitely give it to Judge.

I can't even imagine where the Astros season would be without Altuve.

I noticed you get very bitter and sarcastic when you have no Astros-related things to bitch about. When they are playing well and you can't bitch about Hunch & Ludlow, you get mighty pissy.

just an observation.

I've noticed this as well. It's ridiculous too because he has a month with a sub .200 average and a sub .700 ops and the month before that his average was sub .230 and on the year Ks 30% of the time. His production fall off caused the Yankees to lose the AL East

He's not winning MVP in the same year he sets records for striking out in consecutive games and goes months hitting .200

Altuve's worst stretch of 18 games had him hitting league average.

Clearly he more valuable since when he is sucking the team isn't winning as much.

This is from an ESPN article today.

quote:

Judge might have stolen the MVP award away from Jose Altuve with his late run at season’s end. Judge is hitting .391/.524/1.152 with 10 home runs, 22 RBIs and 17 runs scored in his last 14 games. That came immediately after a 55-game stretch after the All-Star break in which Judge slumped, hitting .185 with 11 home runs (though with a .353 on-base percentage thanks to 49 walks).

Give him the MVP based on two weeks' performance.

55 games with a .185 average with a minimum 30% k rate. I'm sorry walks don't make up for that I don't care what his OBP is. There is value to putting balls in play and moving runners around.
