Baseball America ranked Derrick Fisher as the 5th best OF in the draft and had him going to Boston in the first round. Said he has a raw power projection of 70.

quote:

David Ortiz and Mike Napoli are the two Red Sox players who could be described as having raw 70 power.

Average defender and base runner though. A comparison I've seen on a few sites is Colby Rasmus. So sounds like he could develop some serious power.

I'm riding high. Glad to see the team winning series and gaining momentum. Moving forward. Still going to call a spade a spade when I see it that way.

Cubs, Phillies, Diamondbacks and Rays all have lower winning percentages than the Astros. Rabble rabble cheap embarrassment to the game.

I really am holding back on this because of how bad we were in June/July was last year.

We need another 7-8 game winning streak so we can have a legit shot at .500 before the all star break

So future lineup may look something like this.

C: Castro
1B: Singleton
2B: Altuve
SS: Correa
3B: Dominguez/Ruiz
OF: Springer
OF: DeShields/Kemp
OF: Santana
DH: Reed

Rotation:
Aiken
Appel
Cosart
Folty
Keuchel/Jabroni/Feldman ?

Fisher would have been top 10?

Top 15 for sure. Most scouting reports has Fisher as one of the top 2 or 3 bats in this years draft.

Ryno, you've come a long way the past month. Don't go back to being a bitter person.

The first 3 players drafted by the Astros this year are all great picks. Be happy.

You pencil in appel to the rotation right now? That's bold man.

Appel wasn't going to make the show this year anyway. Everybody should know that.

You know how slow Luhnow moves his pitchers through the system

Eventually he will be in the rotation yes. He has had a few set backs, but he was drafted 1:1. He has the talent that when he gets fully healthy he should be a very solid rotation guy for us.

Appel is not healthy, but should be throwing A+ League no hitters by now.

What is wrong with him????????

Ya know what's awesome?

We're 4.5 out of 4th place in the division. 6 games out of 3rd place.

If we can put together 5 in a row, we could actually start competing against the bottom teams in the division (*cough* Texas)
