I heard part of them talking about it today. Kanell was not saying the he (Kanell) made him a star, he was saying that the producers that kept showing him on tv made him a star. Said he'd get nominated Class President because he just became the most popular kid in school.

There's no strict definition for douchiness but Kanell definitely fits the bill whether he's self depricating or not.
