..........................

Playoff Position Notes:

*A Memphis win puts them 2 games up on Houston for 2 seed. A Memphis loss puts them 1 game up. A Chicago win creates a tie with Cleveland for the 2 seed, but Cleveland holds the tie-breaker.

* A New Orleans win puts them a half game back of OKC for the 8th seed. A New Orleans loss puts them 1.5 games back of OKC. A Milwaukee win puts them 1 game back of Washington for the 5th seed in the East.

* A LA Clippers loss drops them from 5th to 6th in the West, and Dallas moves to 5th.

And would place them solidly in 8th place in the Western conference.

Like the design, though that NBA header seems oddly familiar...

They'd still be only a few wins away from a 4 spot.

Sucks that he got hurt and has pretty much been forgotten about. He looked pretty good.

i don't want to say this is a must win game for the Pels, but thee have to win 15 of the last 19 to make the playoffs, IMO. i don't see OKC losing more than 4 or 5 down the stretch with like 12 games at home.

i see at least 4 strongly likely losses on the schedule, so they can ill afford to lose a game against a team that isn't one of those 4

@Golden State
@LAC
@Portland
@Memphis
@Houston

I would say all five of those are very likely losses, and there are more tough ones on the schedule (vs. Houston, vs. Golden State, vs. San Antonio, @ PHX, etc.). The Pels are going to have to play some great basketball to grab this 8 seed.

I just don't see Houston losing all 4 games to the Pels. Already 0-2. I think they take some pride.

the only one i wasn't including. for whatever reason, this team plays memphis well. but yeah, it's a definite possible loss to me. i don't think the pels make it, TBH. it would be a remarkable push. they really fricked themselves losing to boston twice, knicks, 76ers, etc.

So Embiid is back in a walking boot after a minor setback? Hope it's nothing serious.

i know it isn't. you don't have to convince me

eta: i think the Pels are the better team than OKC, though, at their current states of health. but OKC has a much easier schedule down the stretch.

Hey FS1 just mentioned y'all as a serious challenge to the Thunder. Seems like ESPN forgets the Pels exist.

they do, and that's fine. Russ is the bigger name than AD right now, and ESPN hops on that shite. I think it will come down to the last few games, but the Thunder take it by 2 games and Pels talk spends the whole offseason bitching that Monty isn't fired for improving the team by 13-15 games and how we lost to Boston, Knicks, etc.

eta: but the thunder stand no chance against GSW, IMO.

I think OKC can beat Golden State. Adams just got back. He needs to gel with Kanter. When KD comes back, I really like their playoff rotation so to speak. If they can gain some momentum at the end here, I could see them challenging the Warriors.

I dont. I mean they could, but GS just moves the ball so well and has a bunch of weapons. I think it would be a quick series.
