There's something about his whole God thing that resonates with his players.

They're well coached. He gets the most out of the talent he brings in, and it is pretty solid talent in the first place.

Saban gets out-coached here and there, but the talent gap prevents him from losing most games. I think you can argue Peterson and Dabo both got more out of their teams than Saban did out of Alabama the past two weeks. The difference is that Clemson has more talent than UW.

Saban just took a true FR QB to the NT

Watson was the difference for Clemson, not Dabo (lol)

And? He's had the #1 recruiting class in the country every year since 2011. In fact, on 247's scoring system, the difference between Alabama and Ohio State, the #2 average since 2011, is the same as the difference between Ohio State and the #10 team in the scoring.

I'm a Dabo fan but let's see what happens without Watson.

This is just dumb Washington and Clemson both have tons of NFL talent. They also have NFL QBs.

Dabo nor Peterson could have coached around an 18 year old true freshman that can't throw.

The fact that Saban even got to the Championship with a 18 year old QB is one of his best coaching jobs.

well.. his prized defense just gave up 35 points also.

funny thing is.. the narrative from the Alabama camp was that the defensive players were angry about giving up 40 points to Clemson last year and wanted to settle the score this time around.

Yup, they showed them.

There is no such thing as a #1 recruiting class. How old are you? How can a grown man believe in recruiting rankings?

How is possible to discern the difference between the #8 and # 9 weak side DE. Recruiting rankings are entertainment for the long off season.

Clemson has just as many NFL players as Bama.

Nice spin.

It must be nice - when Alabama out-talents teams and wins, it is because Saban is the GOAT coach. When Alabama gets beat, it is because they other team has a better QB, not because Saban got out-coached.

Kiffin. did it three times (to the playoffs) with three different QBs. Got fricking Coker stay toe to toe with Watson last year

No person with a triple digit IQ realistically believes in recruiting rankings. There are 250+ picks every year in the NFL draft. 32 teams full of scouts that have years of watching practices, games and tape. They get the draft wrong every year. So many bust. Overdrafted players, and undrafted players turnout to be pro-bowlers.

If they can't properly judge grown men that have played college ball for 3 or 4 years, what leads you to believe that some guys who run a website can properly judge the talent of 1000s of highschool kids that are not close to finished products?

Coker was 23 year old 5th year SR. Sims was a 22 year old SR. Hurts was 17yo 5 moths ago.

Sims also had Amari Cooper. Coker had Heisman trophy winning Derrick Henry.
