Was speaking about how Tyron Lou does have the hardest NBA job because if he doesn't win a title, he gets fired.

Goes on to give examples of coaches and teams with low expectations and how their coaches have no pressure. Cites Phoenix Sun's giving their coach an extension and my perosnal favorite example, Bert Bielema and Arkansas.

"Les Miles beat Nick Saban 3 straight years and won 75 percent of his games in the SEC...he got fired. Bret Bielema is a game under. 500 after 4 yrs... He's still cashing checks."

As someone who despises my fatass coach, I completely agree with cowherd on this one.

This is false unless I'm forgetting something major.

2010 and 2011 were the only back to back wins against Saban. 2007 was the only other one.

ETA: I see his overall point, even though I disagree that all programs and situations are created equal.

Miles and Saban were competitive year after year with each other until the 2012 National Championship game.

From that point on Saban kicked his arse every time.

Crazy how that happens. It's like when Albert Pujols hit that homerun against Brad Lidge in the playoffs and Lidge was never the same pitcher again.

I see where he's coming but he needs to put things into perspective. Arkansas was terrible in BB's first two years there. Same thing with the Suns, they're in the middle of a huge rebuild. Ideally, next year the Suns should start to win some games.

Obligatory: Did Colin talk about Wall doing the dougie years ago somehow impact him giving up 50+ to a midget PG?

Just said Wall was basically just another Westbrook, extreme talent and physical gifts, but ultimately a flawed player.

OP misquoted, he said Les beat Nicky 3x, didn't say 3 straight years

that's just not true. 2012 bama had to make a last minute drive to win. 2014 we were up 10-3 with a minute left and they drive the field to tie it and send it to OT. Not taking up for les by any means

Cowherd fails when it comes to the details but I agree with his premise.

At this point he just looks foolish for the continued Wall bashing

The minute Arkansas gets the same home-grown DE talent as LSU, then Cowherd can talk.

Saban and Miles aren't winning national titles at Michigan State.

Except in 2012 and 2015. So 2 games basically. Seriously, Saban needed a lil luck and the help from the refs to escape 09, 12 and 15.

This is just flat out wrong.

Bama won by the skin of their gums in 2012 and 2014.

The majority of our fan base agrees. The fans expectations are not to blame for the state of our program. A lot of us are not happy at all
