In week 8 ATL won narrowly 33-32. Vegas has the o/u at 60 for Sunday and initially I thought it will be a shootout. I'm starting to have second thoughts and think maybe it'll be a 24-21 type game at best. What say you baws?

Why would it be? Did these teams all of a sudden get better at defense? Did their league best offenses stop trying? Green Bay's secondary is going to get PUNISHED as is ATL's. I'd probably be leaning towards the over

Definitely, games with two high powered offenses often times end as low scoring affairs. It defies the odds but I guess the defenses are motivated

If we're smart we shorten this game and run the shite out of the ball, keep Rodgers off the field.

I don't think there's a chance of both of these teams having a bad day on offense.

It will either be a shoot out, or one wins big. I don't see a 17-14 type game (which I consider low scoring for these teams). 34-30 or 34-17.. something like that.

Falcons defense isn't great but they super fast. A lot of potential on that side of the ball.

I don't think it'll be a defensive game as much as it could be that both offenses play underwhelmingly.

I hear ya, but the way these teams are clicking, I can't see A-Rod and Matt Ryan &Co. dropping a turd on the biggest weekend yet. But who knows

I could see the Pack lay an egg due to all the injuries. I can't see a scenario where Atl stalls out barring something weird happening.

is Jordy playing this weekend?

They seemed ok @DAL. Jared Cook and Davante were killing it, and Ty Montgomery is a freaking force

These are Packers sites, so probably propaganda, but....

quote:

Nelson, who missed Sunday’s win at Dallas with broken ribs, has a “longshot” of returning for the NFC Championship Game, per ESPN’s Rob Demovsky:

“Jordy Nelson is still considered a bit of a longshot to play in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

According to a source, the Green Bay Packers receiver has a chance to play against the Atlanta Falcons, but it’s only a small chance.”

Leading up to Sunday’s NFC Championship Game in Atlanta, the Packers will be hoping for a return to better health for a number of players, but Head Coach Mike McCarthy said on Monday not much will be known until those players hit the practice field for the first time on Wednesday.

“The reality is we’ve been in this, have to win each and every week, the injuries are higher than normal,” McCarthy said. “You get into these playoff games, the physicality and the number of players going in and out, we’re going to be gathering information on a few of our guys.”

Those guys include safety Morgan Burnett (quad), receivers Jordy Nelson (ribs) and Davante Adams (ankle), cornerback Quinten Rollins (neck/concussion) and left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee).

Adams and Bakhtiari both returned to Sunday’s game in Dallas and finished, but Burnett exited in the first quarter and did not return.

If J Cook is still like he was in college, he'll be irrelevant after having a big game.

I don't see why it would. Especially since this game will be played in a dome.

Not a chance. Atlanta wont be stopped and GB will have to throw to keep up. This should be a great game.

If both teams decide to run instead of pass, pass, pass, it could go under. I have seen this happen before in games featuring 2 prolific passing attacks. It depends on the coaches whether this flies over the total or stays under.

This is why you should take the under.

Nothing logically says either of these teams will be held under 30. But you just know this will be a 27-24 type game.

It may be under what Vegas has it at but I doubt it would be much under, like something maybe to the tune of 27-24 or something. It certainly won't be in the teens IMO, not with these offenses and defenses
