I used to listen to a lot of rap in my teens and early to mid 20s and didn't hear International Players Anthem until it was sampled on Girl Talk. I think it came out after I stopped listening to new music.

He did a verse on that song. It was a HUGE hit. He also was on a huge hit with Three 6 Mafia. He's not exactly an obscure figure.

obscure is relative. i think to people who dont listen to rap except when it comes into contact with them he's pretty obscure.

His argument is that he was a feature on a major hit that everyone has heard of

right but its not his song. thats a bad argument to make. "he had a verse on that jay-z song you know!" it's almost proving my point honestly.

UGK is from Port Arthur to be exact, which is even closer to Lake Charles

yeah probably. but i stopped listening to rap for the most part when i got to college (outside of bars and such).
