Boys lost today in the quartefinals of the LLWS. Got two wins out the loser bracket but suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Arkansas. The one run was on stolen home plate. Arkansas was pitching a one hitter until a single by JT Curtis grandson Michael broke it up with two outs in the last inning. The pinch runner took second on a swing and miss and passed by the batter. For some reason he thought it was a foul tip and walked back to first and tagged out to end the game. Very bizarre ending, but a great accomplishment anyway.

How were they screwed on that play?

And to the OP that game was not the Little League World Series.

Post above clarifies a bit. This was the quarterfinals of the Southwestern Region. Not a shabby accomplishment, but still...a big difference from LLWS quarters.

Kid stole 2nd base, but the ball looked as though it was foul tipped onto the backstop. Kid decides to walk back to 1st after hearing it was tipped from the dugout and was tagged on his way back for the final out.

The east bank of Jefferson just started a little league and it is open to St. Charles Parish aswell. Don't know how they got kids from Plaquemine and St. Bernard.

And 1 from DA and 1 from Bayou Gauche. I thought little league had strict zones for where the kids could come from. Either way they played their hearts out in the 100+ degree heat in Waco all week. Was hoping they could make the final Thursday night since I'm heading to Waco tonight.

I would guess that it's the only little league in the metro area... the closest one is in Hammond
