College HR derby question

They were just talking and said "...last week in Omaha..".

Do they do this AFTER the CWS is over? How do they get people in the stands for this? It seems like it'd make much more sense to do this on an off day during the CWS.

Probably because of the draft. Kids don't want to risk injury doing something stupid right before someone gives them $.
That's at least true for the best Cbb players.

MLB draft is before the CWS.

It doesn't make sense to do it after the CWS is over. I agree with Op, they should do it on an off day of the CWS b

I always thought they did it before the opening ceremonies and you got one point for every bomb and two points for homes with a wood bat.

Bruhh.. Risk injury during a HR derby? It's basically the same as taking bp before a game
