I love watching college basketball because of the intensity on BOTH sides of the floor. Yes, it is sometimes chaotic and there are a plethora of missed shots and bad decisions, but most can be attributed to good defense and just lack of talent when compared to the NBA.

In contrast, the "current" NBA has the most talented players but is an absolute joke in terms of defense.(Not including the Spurs and of course the playoffs) Yes, they make more open shots; but the majority of coaches run 2 sets: pick and roll or isolation and space the floor.

After all, Steph (Not Seth) Curry, arguably the best NBA player currently, couldn't even make a major power 5 conference in college. Yet, he shines given the pathetic effort on defense in the NBA.

What do you say?

*NBA refs are much better than college refs*

You definitely did not just watch the LSU game if you are asking this question.

NBA is certainly higher quality. Players are better, coaches are better, rules are better, officials are better, etc.

However, the NBA game is boring to me now. I would rather watch college any time, unless we're talking the conference finals or the NBA Finals.

NBA: WAY more skill (obviously).
College: WAY more exciting, at least as far as March Madness. Nothing the NBA has captures the one-and-done tourney format.

Also, I'd like to see how many more points college basketball players would score if they were allowed to take 4 steps.

College Basketball is complete and utter shite. The only reason I watch it is because LSU fields a team.

CBB is just such a watered down product. The elite players are usually gone before they even know the system well, and this results in a lot of disjointed games with insanely obvious mistakes being made on both sides of the floor.

Lost me right there. Have you ever watched the playoffs. The defense is unreal good.

Wow you couldn't be more wrong. I'd be willing to bet NBA teams have upwards of 150 sets if you include baseline and sideline plays. Pretty much every NBA team runs horns which can consist 20+ plays on its own. You add in Floppy sets, PNR sets, Hammer sets, ECT and its gets pretty expansive. Just bc you don't understand what's going on doesn't mean just 2 sets are being run.

I've always loved college the most. However, I went see the pels vs warriors in the playoffs (game 3) and LSU vs Kentucky when hornsby had the shot to win. Pels atmosphere was better. Fouls every other trip up court is ruining the game. I know the NBA refs never call travels, but at least they don't dictate the game

After watching a few years of the NBA, it's pretty damn difficult to go back.

You're dead on. Put Steph Curry on Virginia Tech right now and he struggles to score 10 a game... That part of your argument is ludicrous. Do you honestly think they play better defense in college? Do Jr high schoolers who dive for every loose ball care more than NBA players?

it's not so much good defense as it is lack of offensive skill and basketball IQ

I watch more CBB because its just more intense and I think one game means more in cbb. But the NBA is a superior product

Defensive 3 seconds and hand checking (refs immediately forgot about this once conference play started AGAIN) makes it way easier to defend in college basketball

Either a troll or the dumbest statement ever made on this board. Which one is it?

Oh yeah, the NBA by a mile, unless you like to see 55 fouls called in a game.
