That sounds good. If it's a direct quote from Shows, he's able to form coherent thoughts and communicate.

Shows will remain in the hospital indefinitely and will have to undergo rehab.

This to me says it's all over for Don when it comes to the HC of West Monroe High School. I don't want the guy to die on the field and if he stays it will happen.

Whoever has influence had better do what they can to get an LSU guy in there.

Shows probably has a room on permanent standby. He's in the hospital 3-4 times a year.

He should've announced he was retiring at the end of last football season just before the jamboree, IMO.

Yea. My kid played for him last year, and he said at halftime of the jamb, Coach didn't know where he was.

Is he actually still coaching or just has a Paterno like presence where he is basically a figurehead?

Are his assistants pro-LSU guys?

Everyone thinks Coach Stone would come back to replace him. If you wonder if he's Pro LSU, his son is a senior and is committed to LSU for baseball.

Talked to him for about half hour the other day at Academy. He's OC at Arkansas-Monticello. Great guy, I'd love for him to come back to WM. I played for Stone so I'd love to see him as well.

Where is Scott Stone these days? He coached me at East Side High back during the Mike Vallery days.

He is...we played summer ball together...just can't see him getting back into coaching....doesn't matter who HC will be once Shows retires...it all depends on Arledge...he is the main cog when it comes to WM

Good thing his son has been learning under him his entire life. Sanders is the main cog IMO. West Monroe wins in the weight room

Not taking away from Arledge. He's a fantastic coach. He's 1B to Sanders' 1A IMO.

I saw Shows the other day, he looked bad.

Best wishes and prayer for Coach.

One of the best high school coaches ever.
