The $5m lawsuit has been filed against Pacquiao and his management team over allegations they knew about the fighter’s shoulder injury before the fight in Las Vegas but failed to report it to the Nevada Athletic Commission, something that is required by law. Pacquiao will undergo surgery on the injury and is expected to be out of action for up to a year.

"Defendants prior to and at the time the plaintiffs and the class decided to purchase tickets; purchase pay per view showings or wagered on the event the defendants knew and had full knowledge and information that defendant Pacquiao had been seriously injured and was suffering from a torn rotator cuff,” the lawsuit reads. “Defendants further know that such injury would severely affect his performance.”

Has more merit than the Spurs being sued by that Heat fan for sitting the big three for a regular season game.

do these people not realize a Mayweather fight was always going to be a dull counter and dodge-a-thon?

I can see suing for tickets, etc, but the gambling part is completely stupid. That's part of the gamble. It's not called gambling for nothing.

It could be determined that the fight was fixed because of the injury. Gamblers wouldn't get there money back but someone would go to jail.

I don't think the fight was fixed but it definitely seemed like the two boxers treated it like an exhibition.

Got swindled and now they are trying to sue. It gives me great satisfaction knowing Manny took this scums money.

That fight was so depressing that I now have a limp dick syndrome. I think I can get at least a 500k out of court settlement from Pacquiao/Mayweather productions.

I might have to make that one call that's all before I accept a quick check. I am messed up. I needs to get paid. Limp Dick Syndrome or LDS is no joke.

He lied about his injury and still fought, cheating people out of their money.

I guess I'll file over Jim Haslett and Aaron Brooks's shoulder injury in 2002, I want those six hours of my life back.

this is a Pandora's Box lol. I respect Manny even more for fighting through injury... at least he tried to fight. he didn't look too hurt to me

I respect him for getting all of the money he could, even though he was a frick for cheating the fans, but that was not the normal Manny. If he wasn't hurt and didn't go for the KO in the final rounds when he knew he was losing then frick him even more for being a huge pussy. He literally had nothing to lose at that point so why not go all out, no matter how good Money Mays counters are he had NOTHING to lose at that point and didn't do shite to try to win.

That's the thing though, as a fan I would have rathered him not disclose it and fight hurt than disclose it a week ago postponing the fight for a year. The letdown and cluster frick that would have ensued would've been way worse than a fight that went pretty much exactly like I thought it would.

If the fight went the way we had all hoped it would have been worth waiting a few weeks, which was all Manny would have needed before the fight according to his trainers. I'm not a big Manny fan but he was not himself at all during that fight and it was just a cash grab.
