That's idiotic, Belicheck does the same thing. He gets rid of players who don't fit his system. The difference is Billie heck has won and he has been in the NFL for awhile, while Kelly is still seen as a college coach with a gimmick offense. Players are afraid to speak out against Belicheck because of the culture he has established and his reach in the NFL community. Chip doesn't have that yet and may never have it. These are disgruntled players who really have no leg to stand on. Chip has cut white pkayers who were productive and signed black players to big conteacts.

You couldn't have just said "I disagree?" Idiotic wasn't necessary.

In fact, Belichick has a history of taking guys that other teams have had problems with and making them work (Corey Dillon, Randy Moss, Legarrette Blount, I'm sure they're others). I don't think that's purely a product of his Super Bowls. Some coaches just have a better ability to manage difficult personalities. That's one of the biggest parts of the job.

Belichick never had the reputation of getting rid of disgruntled high profile guys, even in his earlier days. If I'm wrong please provide some examples.

Everything is fricking racist now. It's so goddamn annoying. How about this, it's his fricking job to decide who he want's and doesn't want on his team. He got rid of these black players because he didn't want them on his team anymore. He got other black players because he wanted them on his team. Such a racist frick.

Its more than that. Its getting to know the players. Many players have hinted at him being aloof and stand offish. Did any of these players say this about Andy Reid? Buddy Ryans

Jesus Christ, you are a moron. Chip Kelley is more of a "grown man" than the players. He also holds the power until the owner says he doesn't. Seems like the players need to earn Kelley's respect.

Coaches like Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry and Don Shula were aloof and standoffish, same with Nick Saban. Players may have a preferred coaching style, but do not have the right to demand that style, give me a break.

why is it always the white guy that has to connect to the black players? you never hear about it being the other way around, where the black player has to learn to connect with the white guy.

Bill Walsh got rid of players right before they were over the hill and same with belichick. Jimmy Johnson was similar in Dallas.

I can name two players who will regret leaving Chip : Desean Jackson and Shady. Jackson is fast but he is a dum player and a head case. What is the #1 rule jimmy n bb live by hit me over the head if I pick a dum player. Jackson won't do very much in Washington.

Shady with his new head coach who makes les miles look like a offensive geniuses look for him to fall off

Kelly strikes me as a control freak. That kind of attitude definitely worked for him in CFB. He also gives off the vibe that he doesn't want players from the old era [Similar to how Sean Payton got rid of a number of previous Saints players before the SB run]. This seems like a do/die season for the Kelly era. Especially if his QB situation goes to shite early.

Race doesn't really factor into it.

The coach's job is to motivate the players, push their buttons to get the best out of them. It's not the other way around. Simple as that.

Kelly has dealt with players with issues in the college ranks, not NFL mind you. I mean BLOUNT played for Kelly at Oregon....

Also what is urban about McCoy, he grew up in a decent home in Harrisburg Pa.... Boykin did not grow up in the "hood" either... so not sure where posters are getting these accusations from.

I don't know, I didn't say anything about players being urban.

My only assertion is maybe Kelly doesn't like dealing with players that may frequently voice their opinions to him. McCoy and Jackson definitely come across as those types.

How so? Because of all of the off-season trades?

If things completely fall off the rails [I'm talking Bradford/Murray getting hurt again. Tebow starting]. I think people will look at him with a skeptical eye and he COULD be looking to jump back into CFB.
