Chiefs Release WR Jeremy Maclin

“I’d like to thank Jeremy for his effort and dedication the past two seasons,” Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey stated in a news release. “I have great respect for all players, which makes decisions like these very difficult, but we felt it was in the best interest of our club moving forward to part ways at this time. We wish Jeremy the best as he continues his career.”

Pretty crazy but he was making a lotta coin for a position they don't really use effectively

$12.4M cap hit.

$7.2M dead money.

Saved $5.2M in cap and saved $10M in real money they don't have to pay him.

what an odd situation. he was a beast in his last season in Philly, then he signs with a team that doesn't throw to their wideouts.

Would say we sign him on the cheap but for once, we're stacked at WR.

KC Chiefs are falling apart

As much as I respect Andy Reid he is not a big game coach.

I have a feeling the KC Chiefs are going to have a 2012 Philly type of season

I do not any longer see that teal heading into the right direction

Well they don't really need Maclin for that price. They have speedy guys that are cheaper. Maclin was also getting injured a bit. I do hope he does well though.

He's a bandwagon Alabama fan. What NFL team do you think he is a "fan" of?
