I don't see it, Pens are blowing leads = not getting it handed to you.
if you are getting out worked and giving up leads b/c of it what else would you call it.

I hate games ending on bullshite penalties.
Especially in the playoffs.
Especially in series deciding games.
Especially in overtime.
Dumb.

I don't consider pucks bouncing in off the endboards on a dump in or 3 foot wide shot being outworked, or a dump in flip off goalie and in.
Like I said, put Vokoun in net and win the next 2 and move on.

Yeah that was an AWFUL penalty call, but a fitting end to the Nucks season courtesy of a Daniel Sedin penalty, BS or not.

that no, but they are still out working you bad bounces happen yes but the Isles are grinding out there much harder than the Pens and usually when that happens the bounces go your way.

It's possible the Pens have too much talent and too little time with the shortened season to figure things out between the time after the trade deadline to the injuries.
There were about 47 different line combinations tonight and there really only need to be a few but that's hard to do with tonight was the first game fully healthy since the trades.
Iginla hasn't meshed or developed any chemistry with Malkin, so he's shifted Malkin with Crosby which is normal a handful of shifts per game, and he's throwing Morrow or Jokinen and even Sutter with Neal and Iginla who have zero chemistry because Neal has been hurt and hasn't played with Iggy. That line is a mess, talented as frick, but a mess.
Have got to find some line consistency going forward, the Pens are scoring but it's usually quick goals on a quick rush not sustained offensive pressure which has been the Pens strength all year.
Isles deserve some credit as well.

Yeah i am not liking that angle, but in terms of a kicking motion that's pretty close...

Cause it's that easy...I agree with you that you don't have to panic, but you are definitely worried. Entering game 5 with a goalie change is a big deal.

You now see why I was so mad last night and was screaming about it in this thread last night.

Speaking of the Penguins...
Rule 40 - Physical Abuse of Officials
40.1 Game Misconduct - Any player who deliberately applies physical force in any manner against an official, in any manner attempts to injure an official, physically demeans, or deliberately applies physical force to an official solely for the purpose of getting free of such an official during or immediately following an altercation shall receive a game misconduct penalty. In addition, the following (40.2, 40.3, 40.4) disciplinary penalties shall apply.
40.2 Automatic Suspension – Category I - Any player who deliberately strikes an official and causes injury or who deliberately applies physical force in any manner against an official with intent to injure, or who in any manner attempts to injure an official shall be automatically suspended for not less than twenty (20) games. (For the purpose of the rule, “intent to injure” shall mean any physical force which a player or goalkeeper knew or should have known could reasonably be expected to cause injury.)
40.3 Automatic Suspension – Category II - Any player who deliberately applies physical force to an official in any manner (excluding actions as set out in Category I), which physical force is applied without intent to injure, or who spits on an official, shall be automatically suspended for not less than ten (10) games.
Ummm.... how is Letang NOT getting suspended? He makes eye contact with the ref and then cross checks him.

didn't have that angle last night. although the reviewers shoulda though. hmmnn. Buttman's NHL is bordering on NBA like INCOMPETENCE as far as officating is concerned. sad indeed for the NHL.
I will say though no excuse for letting them score with 23 seconds left. none. i would have rather them tie it up much sooner so they had no momentum going into OT. a goal that late is a killer.

just listened to TSN 690 (Montreal). Tony Marinaro was speaking with the guys from Team 1200 (Ottawa). They agreed that Zibanejad's goal shouldn't have counted.
when the other teams fans admits it should not have counted then you know you were hosed. C'est la vie.

Wonder if there's going to be any "makeup" calls. I don't think the refs are so infallible that they ALL don't know about this crosscheck and won't be watching every little thing that Letang does? They've got to talk in between games at some point right? being co-workers?
Counterargument: Letang should have been suspended anyways for the Elbow in Sunday's game so the Cross check to the ref never would have happened and therefore does not count.
