Last night the "best fans in baseball" curtain called Mark Reynolds after the grand slam...while they were still losing in the first inning of a game in May. They just did it again for Carpenter.

Disappointing so far. This team needs to experience this type of thing though. Shows them how far they still have to go.

I'm amazed that he isn't frustrated to the point of swinging for the fences every AB.

Cubs have given up 19 runs in the 6th inning in 25 games this year. Looks like the problem is obviously. Now, how to fix it? Starters need to go deeper or the bullpen needs help.

Cubs lead the NL with 239 MLB K's. Wow.

Duh. The only team that will strikeout more than the Cubs will be the Astros.

Since Kris Bryant's call up, he is second in the majors in walks. Only Bryce Harper has more. Bryant is playing really well so far. Pitchers are so afraid of a kid with zero MLB homers. That is awesome. Also, his arm is very impressive from third. His swinging strike rate is still very high at 14.8%, but I think his first 77 plate appearances have been excellent. A homer sure would be nice, but he is stupid good for a 23 year old.
