I think you're low on the Spurs, and high on the Rockets and Grizzlies. I'd put them around 15% each, give the Pels and Mavs 2.5% each, and then give the Spurs 65%

San Antonio is one of the clear title favorites now along with Cleveland and GS.

I'd say Houston and Memphis are the 2 best teams in league after them.

***I have no idea where to place OKC because of last season, new coach***

If Smith resigns and Dwight / Bev / D-Mo can stay healthy, the odds are better than that.

Yeah. I'm not touching OKC. They were overrated all of last season because people said KD would be back. I'm not touching them until I see a healthy KD for a few months.

and is everyone forgetting how bad dirk is getting? 27 y/o dirk is not walking through that door

Yup, Dirk had the worst season of his career. He clearly wore down in the 2nd half, and shot horribly in the playoffs.

and I like Deandre Jordan, but who is going to pass him open like CP3 did? He's really not that much better than Tyson Chandler

their primary ball handlers are meh.

Wes Matthews is coming off achilles. He wont be able to play defense, will be a spot up shooter that he has always been. He's a downgrade over Ellis.

Southwest will be a dogfight, but Memphis & Dallas are slightly trending down. SAS, HOU and Pels trending upward.

Dirk was SO BAD in the playoffs. I honestly felt more comfortable when he was on the floor for Dallas. He is completely useless defensively, and he just isn't the same player on the offensive end these days. He actually misses open shots now.

I agree. People are really underrating the offseason that the Grizz have had.

Flipped a draft and stash player that will never play in the NBA for Matt Barnes

Signed Brandon Wright

Gasol and Conley coming off the best season's of their respective careers

Jordan Adams improving and likely starting to get minutes

They were on their way to their best season in franchise history before Conley and TA got hurt down the stretch.

I'd like to hear how they got worse. People said the same thing last year.

i didn't say they got worse, I just don't think they did enough to get better.

They've relatively been the same team for years, and havent been able to make a move. Zach Randolph is getting older, he showed signs of that in the 2nd half last year.

Gasol and Conley are peaked, and their role players aren't game changers. Plus the Southwest has gotten better with a new influx of big men.

I mean their isn't much they can do as a capped out small market team.

They have to makes moves like they did to get Wright on a great contract and Matt Barnes for nothing.

Plus they likely aren't done yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jeff Green and/or Clee to get moved. They have a lot of guys on nonguaranteed deals on the fringes of the roster that could be moved as well.

Again there isn't much they can do beside make fringe moves like they have or develop late draft picks like Jordan Adams is.

He was better in the 2nd half then he was in the first.

Based on?

Yeah the best perimeter defender in the league isn't a game changer....

Aldridge and Jordan? I have already said the Spurs are easily the favorite in the division and you even said Dallas was getting worse even with the addition of DAJ.

the popular thought around here is that both of these moves are eyeing the near future. we're in a pickle because our first round pick is only protected through #7. in a perfect world we'd retain that pick, sign another B level free agent or better, and go full throttle in 2016

I mean that is kinda my point.

pre AS break 16.8pts 12rebs

post break- 14.9 8 rebs

FG% down from 49 to 47. Played the same amount of minutes

Common sense. Factor in their age and what they've been up to this point in their respective careers, and there really isnt a ton of growth available.

I mean i know you dont want to hear or believe that.

Gasol may be in line for a jump if Randolph ever leaves, but then they wont be the same team, obviously, without Zach

He's not even the best perimeter defender in his division

and a year older AD23. Dallas will regress a little but they are still a playoff caliber team.

Picking the ASB cuts off about 12 of the best games he played last season, which were during the "2nd half of the season"

I for one am shocked he struggled at the same time the team itself was playing like shite and were without two starting guard for a good chunk of that time

Common sense would say they just had the best seasons of their careers. It would also show that Conley has been one of the best players in the league at getting better year by year.

Gasol may be in line for a jump if Randolph ever leaves, but then they wont be the same team, obviously, without Zach

Yeah because he didn't make the jump this past season

Matt Barnes? really?

Tony Allen, dumbass

and a year older AD23

That isn't an influx...

And the Grizzlies crushed them 3 times last season because Dirk has to guard either Zbo or Gasol
