a "win your conference" requirement to get in the playoffs. Imagine if Florida could have actually kept bama out with a win yesterday.

Imagine if none of the best teams won their conference.

Wow what an awesome year that would be for the college football playoffs

I'd be on pins and needles for
Colorado vs VT

Florida vs Wisconsin

Thrillers

If Clemson, UW, PSU, and Alabama would have lost to these teams, so be it.

I love all this fear mongering about these shitty match ups. The reality is that the conference champions of these conferences are no slouch, and haven't been in forever.

Here's where I disagree about being a conference champ being a requirement to get in.

I think winning a P5 conference should automatically get you into the playoff. But I also think there should be 1-3 "wild card" teams to allow for teams like this year's Ohio State who are certainly one of the best teams but were just unlucky in losing one game that happened to keep them out of a conference champ game.

And for everyone who wants to"protect the regular season", 3 of the 5 conference championships literally meant nothing this past weekend. How can you possibly argue both points?
