Why is Chael Sonnen always bashing Anderson Silva? When has Silva been involved in a steroid controversy? Silva has never been ripped or powerful. He was just a highly skilled fighter.
I am tending to think that Sonnen bashes Silva because he couldn't beat him.

I don't consider therapeutic use of steroids to be an issue.
Silva was using to get over an injury. Sonnen was using because he was not good enough without them.

That was a bullshite argument by Silva because he tested positive AFTER his fight with Diaz.
He broke his leg more than a year before that fight.
If he was really using it for recovery, he wouldn't have tested positive after the fight.

First off, that was a pretty nasty leg break. I'm not sure how long steroids stay in your system but it was amazing that he was able to come back from that kind of injury, at his age, even with steroids.
Second, AND MOST IMPORTANT, Silva was over the hill at this time anyway. This has nothing to do with the greatness of his prime.

Well i wouldn't consider it a controversy. He had a terrible injury so he got better. He was old anyway.

In fact, one of the steroids Anderson popped for has a longterm side effect of decreasing bone density. He was probably using the entire time in the UFC and that led to his leg snapping against Weidman.
