Yeah, Cuddyer is a buddy pick. Alvarez should have been in, or Brown or Goldschmidt. Or Puig if he makes the team.

I know he plays in CO but Cuddyer has the 2nd highest avg HR distance. Don't underestimate OMS(old man strength)

Cuddyer isn't a slouch at all... he has more HR than Wright or Harper.

I'd start at the top of the HR list... hey, you're leading the NL in home runs, want to do the derby? Cool. Hey, you're second, want to do the derby?
And so on through all the players until the team is set. Tiebreaker being fewer AB gets first call.

Just funny to see some grown men on a forum getting their panties in a wad, over the most pointless thing in baseball. Everyone is bashing Cuddyer but most good overall hitters in the MLB can join that derby. Just make it a 60 man field and stretch the competition out for three days.
