I think Cleveland wins the next 2. Rose will probably struggle with the short rest.

This series had a 2013ish feel IMO. Hopefully it actually turns out in a similar fashion.

All RTR said was that he wasn't in his top 5 anymore and he'd be a fantastic offensive coach. That's absolutely true. He really struggles to balance minutes and his offensive play calling leads a lot to be desired. That doesn't mean he's not a very good coach, just that he's not elite.

They're saying both Kyrie and LeBron need to be special 4 games to win this series. I couldn't disagree more. LeBron played pretty meh and was downright awful late. TT played his worst defensive game in a while. Gasol got waaaaaay too many open looks (pick and roll is the biggest thing Blatt needs to figure out IMO). And the Cavs were in it until the end.

He kept an entire team together year after year despite a shitload of injuries, and kept them competing.

His offensive coaching leaves a lot left to be desired, but the job hes done in Chicago has been sensational.

You clearly do not follow his teams closely. They looked great in the regular season without Rose. Once the playoffs came they were too gassed to compete over a 7 game series. Thibs wouldn't limit minutes of guys coming off injuries or guys just needing rest until this year. He has butted heads with Gar and Pax regarding this and refuses to change. Thibs would've been great in the 90s, not so much in today's game where players take 2 weeks off for no reason.

Cavs have real offensive issues. But the Bulls won't shoot nearly that good again this series, that was a big time fluke. Not to mention the Cavs shot pretty bad. And the Bulls still barely won.

Every game is different. Bulls probably won't shoot that good from 3 again, but what if Shumpert stinks it up in Game 2 and Butler goes crazy?

What we do know is that Cleveland does have some issues without Smith and Love and that Chicago being healthy is the biggest key for them.

Fwiw, I think the Cavs win Game 2, but I think it will be another close game up until the last minute.

Up to LeBron in game 2. They played poorly and stayed in until the end, but for a team that has limited playoff experience outside of LeBron, they need to get a win before going to Chicago. It's LeBron's time to be the best player in the world and put the team on his back. If they lose, I don't see Chicago losing 4 of the next 5.

I think the Cavs know what the problem was game one...

quote:

Half of Bulls' 80 shots in Game 1 came with no defender within 4 feet; 24 shots with no defender with 6 feet.

The Cavs aren't a good perimeter defensive team, so it's not like they can just snap their fingers reverse that completely.

But yes, they should be able to lower that number with a little more effort.
